A troupe of grim Beverly Hillbilly lookalikes storm into a local Victorian farmhouse in a groundbreaking commercial for the sprawling estate.
The 4.04 hectare rural retreat in Wareek, about 9 miles from Maryborough, is for sale for $500,000 to $550,000.
Kim Birnie and Leah Robins of KL Estate Agents, the brains behind the online listing video, recruited their own family members and local residents to appear in the clip.

To sweeten the deal, they even included a trip to Maryborough’s Park Hotel, with innkeeper Craig Jones starring in the shot.
Ms Birnie and Ms Robins said they enjoyed creating creative clips to highlight a home’s individuality and serve as a keepsake for the owners.
Her highlight reel includes Wizard of Oz and Wolf Creek-themed videos for other properties.

For their latest offering, the country charm of the three-bedroom Wareek house, a 19th-century butcher’s shed and views of the Pyrenees inspired them to pay tribute to the Emmy Award-winning US sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies.
The television show, which aired from 1962 to 1971, followed a poor family, the Clampetts, who move to California after becoming rich through the discovery of oil.
Even Grandma Clampett would be impressed by the country-style kitchen.
The actors wore wigs and costumes for the shoot.

In the Wareek video, a group of country folk drive down the property’s driveway in a vintage car while banjo music plays in the background.
The cast utters the phrases “What in the Tarnation,” “Butter my cookies,” and “It’s so fancy, I should have worn my good overalls” as they inspect the house and grounds.
One exclaims, “Well, is this Wareek or Beverly Hills, that’s all I can say” about the house at 512 Norwood Road.
They also visit the Park Hotel to have a drink with locals and later feature Mr Jones singing a country song.
What the hell, indeed.

Kim Birnie and Leah Robins from KL Estate Agents asked regulars at Maryborough’s Park Hotel to dress up and take part in the clip.
Ms Birnie said that while the stereotype of a real estate agent was a “Porsche-driving, suit-wearing showpiece,” she and Ms. Robins liked to have fun and include the community in their listing videos.
When she visited Hartwell Shoes in Maryborough, the owner told them that her husband owned a vintage car, which led to both him and the vehicle appearing in the clip.
“I just enjoyed coming down the driveway and hearing the banjo music. I think it’s a really good start to the video,” Ms Robins said.
Creativity comes naturally to the couple, as Ms Birnie appeared extensively at a young age on television shows such as The Bert Newton Show and Denise Drysdale’s variety show as an actress and singer.
At the time, the late actor and singer Norman Yemm of The Sullivans and Homicide was her manager.
With the estate agency paying for some drinks, the locals at the pub were only too happy to encourage buyers to view the house.
Wareek is a rural locality between the Pyrenees Shire and the Shire of Central Goldfields, which recorded a population of 72 at the 2021 census.
A stream runs along the property line.
Agents said the property would be suitable for a first-time home buyer, an investor, someone wanting to run a hobby farm or be self-sufficient, an equestrian or “anyone who wants the good life”.
The house has high ceilings, wooden furnishings, wood heating and split system cooling.
In the kitchen there is a cast iron wood-burning stove, a wall oven and hotplates.
In addition to the old butcher’s shed, where a former tree stump serves as a butcher’s block, the separate outbuildings have their own man cave, a general-purpose galvanized steel shed and a machine shed.
